    • How We Work
Picture
As a team and organisation, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands and waters whose cultures and customs have nurtured and continue to nurture this land for over 60,000 years, and upon which we now work and live. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and recognition of culture, connection to land and waters of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia is a matter of importance and paramount to healing for us all.

PBB Media acknowledges the ULURU STATEMENT FROM THE HEART

The ULURU STATEMENT FROM THE HEART is addressed to the Australian people. It is a document that outlines the path forward for recognising Indigenous Australians in the Australian constitution. Over a six month period, a consultation process engaged more than 1200 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives in a dozen regional dialogues across the country culminating in a constitutional convention bringing together over 250 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders meeting in June 2017 at the foot of Uluru in Central Australia on the lands of the Aṉangu people.  The majority resolved, in the ‘Uluru Statement from the Heart’, to call for the establishment of a ‘First Nations Voice’ in the Australian Constitution and a ‘Makarrata Commission’ to supervise a process of ‘agreement-making’ and ‘truth-telling’ between governments and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

PBB Media

a not-for-profit community journalism and media project dedicated to the cross-pollination and dissemination of non-sensationalist and useful information between all stakeholders involved in supporting families and communities to achieve a congruent journey of family life and better outcomes in healthcare.
