Outreach Hub and Baby Clothes Swaps
In 2022 we pivoted from our media projects to providing an Outreach Hub where we distributed donations of furniture, clothing, food and baby supplies for families impacted by the floods throughout this region. Since 2023 we have provided a FREE drop in centre and clothes swap to all families with babies and toddlers. This wonderful service has had so much support from the community that the donations we've received have spawned three more free clothes swaps! Lennox Head, Evans Head and Lismore.
When and where are the baby clothes swaps?
Each baby clothes swap operates to their own dates and times, so check details below:
How do the baby clothes swaps work?
Our baby and toddler clothes are fully stocked from the clothing donated by the community. So, you can exchange your clean, good quality baby and toddler clothes (up to size 5) for the next size up, change the baby's nappy, have a cuppa and chat with our volunteer facilitators and meet other mums, dads and carers. All clothing is given for free and you don't need to bring donations to take any of our baby clothes. We have so much to give away!
We staffed by volunteers from the community and we generally have some support from the venues we operate from so that our rent is reduced. If you would like to make a cash donation to cover rent, we would gratefully accept! We generally have a donation jar at each clothes swap or you can make an online donation here.
NOTE: We can't accept baby furniture or equipment (prams, cots, highchairs, etc) due to lack of storage. Please only bring your donations when we are open. Do not leave donations outside.
Would you like to volunteer with us?
If you like supporting mums and bubs (and folding tiny clothes!), you'll LOVE helping out at our baby clothes swaps! We ask for just 2-3 hours once a month, or whatever time you can spare really. We'd love to hear from you, so drop us a line below.
We look forward to seeing you!
